THE CAFE
Vintage Café is a locally loved coffee shop and café here in Montgomery, Alabama, serving fresh breakfast, lunch, specialty coffee, and healthy grab-and-go options. Open Monday-Saturday from 6AM to 3PM, we offer indoor and outdoor seating, plus a convenient drive-thru for guests on the go.
Our menu features handcrafted espresso drinks, specialty coffees, teas, fresh juices, smoothies, baked goods, grilled paninis, fresh salads, and wholesome breakfast and lunch favorites. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee, a healthy meal, or a relaxing place to meet friends, Vintage Café has something for everyone.

THE TRANSFORMATION
Originally built in 1955 as a Regions and First National Bank branch, Vintage Café is housed in one of Montgomery's most distinctive historic buildings. The property is owned by café proprietor Jud Blount and his uncle, Tom Blount, a retired architect whose notable projects include the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Blount Cultural Park, and numerous international developments.
The building has been thoughtfully transformed into a modern café while preserving many of its original architectural features. Designed by Laura Dockery Design and renovated by R.F. Pruett Construction, the space retains its original terrazzo floors, repurposed safety deposit boxes, and historic metal vault gate. The former bank teller window now serves as a convenient drive-thru, blending the building's history with modern functionality.
Guests can explore unique remnants of the bank's past, including a working camera at the original height chart, a depository box, and other preserved details throughout the space. The second-floor mezzanine overlooks the main entrance and sits adjacent to a private event room available for daytime meetings, gatherings, and celebrations. The entire venue is also available for private events during afternoons and evenings, offering a one-of-a-kind setting in the heart of Montgomery.
